John’s practice focuses on supporting U.S. and international patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation and due diligence.
John services clients in the electrical space, including the wireless telecommunications industry, concentrating on patent prosecution and disclosure requirements to ensure compliance with USPTO regulations.
Prior to joining Volpe and Koenig, P.C., John trained with a major Philadelphia law firm in the full spectrum of intellectual property issues, including drafting and prosecuting mechanical and chemical patent applications. In subsequent work, John assisted a large Philadelphia law firm in representation of Fortune 500 companies across a broad range of areas, for compliance in regulatory investigations, document productions in litigation and government subpoena requests. Further, John previously practiced commercial litigation in two Philadelphia law firms on matters involving consumer fraud, bankruptcy, business disputes, local and national class actions, breach of fiduciary duty, securities and construction.

Life Beyond the Law
I enjoy fly fishing, skiing and golfing with my family, grilling and cooking for special occasions, European and U.S. history, playing tennis and ice hockey. I also enjoy watching the Flyers with my wife and kids.
