Marina’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, specializing in the areas of biotechnology, molecular biology and pharmaceuticals.
Marina represents start-up companies in the field of pharmaceuticals and life sciences. Her clients are involved in developing new generations of diagnostic and therapeutic drugs and nanomolecules for delivery of these and other drugs and therapeutic agents. Marina counsels clients regarding prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications.
Marina has extensive experience working as a Research Scientist in the Biotechnology field. Marina completed her postdoctoral training at Cornell University focusing her research on developing new techniques for modifying plants and continued her studies on improvement of plant crops during her many years of employment at the Biotech companies such as Monsanto and Syngenta. Marina’s duties also included scouting for new projects and evaluating the patent landscape for new methods of genetic modification of plants, which eventually led her to a career as an Intellectual Property lawyer.

Marina is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
