Mike’s practice focuses on patent portfolio management and administrative coordination.
Mike works closely for a client within the Electrical Department that places a strong emphasis on the filing of provisional patent applications, their filings numbering in the hundreds each year. Mike is the client’s primary contact for all provisional filings, as he is responsible for the intake of all invention disclosures and the timely filing of the resulting provisional applications. Mike also coordinates with the client in regards to the filing of subsequent U.S. non-provisional patent applications, Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications and national phase patent applications. Mike continues to work with the client as prosecution of their patent applications ensues, providing monthly status reports to help them manage their portfolio.
Prior to joining the firm, Mike worked at a sports and entertainment firm where he conducted market research on potential clients and assisted agents in client representation. He also worked at a corporate real estate firm, drafting lease abstracts and conducting title searches.

Life Beyond the Law
In my spare time I enjoy exercising, golfing, reading, skiing and travelling. I try to visit at least one new place every year. Last trip: honeymoon in South Africa. Next trip: backpacking in Europe.
