    Bob’s practice focuses on utility and design patent preparation and prosecution for domestic and international clients.

    Client Work

    Bob handles utility and design patent preparation and prosecution for local and multinational companies. Bob has gained valuable working knowledge in the field of turbines (gas, steam, wind, solar), power generation and distribution, having represented a multinational, industry leader over the past five years. Bob has also developed proficiency in the automotive field, representing a large OEM in the field of tappets, camshaft adjusters, chain tensioners and filters. Bob also represents an industry leader in the field of fluid handling devices (flow limiters, aerators, regulators). Bob has also developed an expertise in the bicycle arts having prosecuted applications for cranks, chains, brakes, shifters and electronic components. Other clients operate in the field of medical devices, namely endoscopic devices, spinal implants, shunts, stents, etc. Bob also has ten years experience in action sports, specifically in the paintball field.

    Previous Work

    Bob was previously at a large international general practice firm where he handled U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Prior to that, Bob was a translator for the patent department of a large multinational chemical company.

    Life Beyond the Law

    I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new cultures, learning foreign languages, photography, cooking, oenology, surfing and cycling. I am also a  member of Kiwanis International and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
