Volpe Koenig $40K Annual Nonprofit Grant Rechristened to Honor Late Shareholder
The IPromise Jeffrey M. Glabicki Memorial Giving Fund Will Continue to Award Exemplary Service by Local Community Benefit Organizations
Volpe Koenig, Philadelphia’s largest law firm dedicated solely to the practice of intellectual property, has launched its 17th annual IPromise grant competition, which aims to celebrate the impactful service of Philadelphia-area nonprofits by awarding $40,000 in funding annually. The campaign was renamed this year to the IPromise Jeffrey M. Glabicki Memorial Giving Fund to honor the legacy of the shareholder who passed away in 2023.
Jeff, a valued member of the Volpe Koenig family for more than 20 years, provided comprehensive technical expertise and strategic, creative approaches to help clients and colleagues achieve their objectives. He was highly respected among team members, clients and co-counsel, as well as opponents, and his genuine kindness and calm, thoughtful demeanor left a lasting impression on the many lives he enriched. Jeff is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be remembered as a beloved friend, husband, family member and father. The firm celebrates his life and memory by continuing to help others and give back to the community as Jeff had for so many years.
The campaign window will run from June 24 to August 16. Nonprofits interested in applying must meet the award criteria, which includes but is not limited to the following:
- In operation for at least two years
- Headquartered in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Burlington, Camden or Gloucester counties
- Less than $10 million annual operating budget
- Fall within one of the following categories:
- Arts, Culture and Humanities
- Community Development
- Education and Research
- Environment and Animals
- Health, Human Services & Youth Development
- Veteran Services
The application can be accessed here.
Full eligibility requirements and a list of previous recipients are available on Volpe Koenig’s website here. The 2023 awardee, the National Giving Alliance, joined grant alumni from The Barn at Spring Brook Farm, Musicopia and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), among others.
All Philadelphia area nonprofits meeting the criteria are strongly encouraged to apply for consideration. Funds will be disbursed in December.
