Volpe Koenig Sponsors “Let Justice Ring” Video Contest Marketing Centennial Celebration of 19th Amendment

08.21.2020

August 26, 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment granting women the constitutional right to vote. A symbol of the women’s suffrage campaign was the Justice Bell, also known as the women’s Liberty Bell. The Justice Bell was commissioned by Chester County, (Pennsylvania) native Katharine Wentworth Ruschenberger, an active member of the National Women Suffrage Association, which later became the League of Women Voters.

Volpe Koenig filed the trademark application for the Justice Bell which now resides at the National Patriots Bell Tower at Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge PA. The bell itself was cast in 1915 and used until 1920 to call attention to women’s suffrage. The Justice Bell traveled through all Pennsylvania counties as well as to national political party conventions as far away as Chicago and rallies in Washington D.C.

Volpe Koenig sponsored the “Let Justice Ring” video contest which received entries from all over the United States and from countries as far away as Spain and Australia.

The winning videos will be featured at the Justice Bell Send-Off Celebration on August 25, 2020 as the bell begins its travel from Washington Memorial Chapel to Philadelphia to mark the centennial.

We are proud to be part of this historic event.
