Professional Experience

Michael’s practice focuses on securing and enforcing intellectual property rights for clients. His practice includes prosecution, litigation, administrative proceedings, technology licensing, preparing validity opinions, and conducting due diligence reviews.

Client Work

Michael works closely with clients in the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patents, trademarks, and copyrights.  He is actively involved in the litigation and resolution of disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, domain names, false advertising, and trade dress. He also provides counsel to clients in the form of opinions relating to freedom-to-operate, infringement, invalidity, and trademark registrability and use.

Michael’s clients vary from global companies to individuals and startups over a wide range of technologies and industries. Most recently, his work has included litigating false advertising claims brought under the Lanham Act involving country of origin marking on tools for dispensing sealants and related accessories.

Previous Work

Michael has prior industry experience as an industrial engineer and as a producibility engineer with General Electric Space Systems Division in Valley Forge, PA.

Life Beyond the Law

My wife and I are empty nesters and we enjoy spending time with our adult children traveling, sightseeing and going to restaurants in and around New York City and Philadelphia.
