Daniel R. Ling
Overview
For nearly 20 years, Dan has been counseling clients on intellectual property law matters, with a focus on market clearance and patent procurement/portfolio development including the preparation and prosecution of hundreds of U.S. and foreign patent applications.
Dan works closely with both domestic and foreign clients, with attention on each client’s individual needs during the patent application process. He has assisted mid-size companies with portfolio management strategies to ensure clients maximize the value of their assets.
He has extensive experience with clearance/right-to-market searches and opinions for new products. He provides research support for reexaminations and prepares patentability opinions for a variety of technologies.
In addition, Dan has experience with post-grant proceedings, invalidity and non-infringement opinions as well as patent litigation.
In addition to the U.S., Dan has secured intellectual property rights in foreign jurisdictions including Europe, China and Japan.
