Dean J. Tricarico
Overview
Dean has more than 20 years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications primarily in the wireless technology space. His early-career background as both an inhouse patent engineer and patent agent at large technology companies help him to better understand his clients’ goals and objectives. In his current practice, Dean works with clients to draft new patent applications, advise on patent strategy throughout the prosecution process.
Deans strong technical background includes network protocols, signal processing, Wi-Fi, CDMA, LTE, OFDM, MIMO, Beamforming and Massive MIMO, M2M communications, IoT, 3G, 4G, 5G NR, NSA and SA 5G Architectures, Network Slicing, and Open-RAN and SDN.
Within the wireless communications and communication standards space, he has drafted over 200 patent applications and prosecuted more than 700 patent applications directed to 5G NR, LTE, LTE-A, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
Previous Work and Industry Experience
Prior to Dean's work as a patent attorney and patent agent, he worked as a system engineer and engineering manager with large publicly traded technology companies. Dean also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Life Beyond Law
Dean has competed in 11 triathlons, enjoys SCUBA, travel and the study of Apologetics.
